I really enjoy a good mood board and well thought out branding. That makes putting together a design that much more enjoyable. I am also a minamalist. I feel that simple and flat design with spacious elements is calming and creates a better over all user experience. Once a design has been cocreated I love using bootstrap as the frame work and using sublime with bootstrap snippets. This allows for a rock solid base to build off of. Once the functional prototype is created it can easily be made into a CMS theme or template.

As ancient humans evolved and communication became an aid to survival, story telling emerged as the dominant way for us to share. From cave paintings to the modern Facebook timeline people sit around the proverbial rocking chair and eagerly wait for a good told tale. I have recently found my career leading me to the inevitable camp fire circled around with my eldes and mentors who have taught me the gift of story time. They encouraged me to go out into the world and create great stories. In the past ten years I have done just that and traveled around creating stories with the aid of video, 360s and interactive maps.

I have been designing web sites since high school and have a passion for many different web technologies. My over all process involves designing first in photoshop and then breaking apart that design into Bootstrap framework. From their I add interactivity with CSS, javascript and php. Most of the final designs become WordPress themes. I have also created both Android and Apple apps from frameworks purchased on Codecanyon. These frame works have given me a inside view of how apps work without needing to know the higher level coding required to make apps from scratch. App development can be quite the expensive experience and requires upkeep that may continue to incur costs on an on going basis. Using frameworks has allowed me to keep costs down as well as take advantage of regular updates that makes sure that it will continue to work with the latest OS and devices. My landscape boss in high school always said work smarter not harder.

I tell stories through high end video. Using the latest in stable cam technology and aerial video, my production process cover from in the field to over head drone view. Narratives and sound selection make my videos exciting and custom to your audience. I also have learned throguh courses and testing how to reach customers through video and social media.
